One of Canada's most prominent institutions was assigned a new mandate to startup and scale a department that regulates hundreds of domestic and international payment service providers that provide service to Canada. I was engaged to provide cross-departmental program management across different teams: policy makers, risk monitoring, IT, security, legal and enforcement, audit, HR, and communications, as we roll out this multi-year program.

What happens when a small company has had explosive growth in one target market that begins to saturate? It's time to expand to other areas! In this engagement I did primary and secondary market research to identify demand within existing and new segments, and advised the CEO on growth strategy. I also directly reached out and established new platform partnerships and business cases, as well as a future product roadmap for a fast-growing SaaS startup.
TITUS and THE BLACKSTONE GROUP

TITUS' data classification product had become a gold standard in the data security industry, but when Microsoft started competing head-to-head, TITUS knew it had to leverage its head-start by expanding into new products and markets. I was hired as General Manager to lead a stealth startup for TITUS, developing, marketing and selling a new suite of encryption and tracking software powered by machine learning and blockchain. The new product line directly contributed to an acquisition by The Blackstone Group, the largest asset management firm worldwide, and I was subsequently promoted to VP Product Management overseeing the company's 25-product portfolio as well as OEM partnerships.

What happens when a home-grown mission-critical IT system that supports the entire Canadian economy day-to-day has reached its technological limit and needs to be replaced with a new modern system? I was selected as Program Manager to work with business leadership on the strategy to procure, implement and roll out a new high-availability system, carefully managing the risk of any downtime or regression which could have severe consequences on banking operations in Canada and worldwide.

Macadamian had early success developing digital products for software giants like Microsoft and Blackberry. But as the IT consulting space became more saturated, the company looked to diversify by breaking into a new market: healthcare. I started up "Macadamian Healthcare", a new venture providing end-to-end software creation services specialized in the medical space. Over 5 years working with an amazing team, our portfolio grew from $0 to $10M featuring the who's who of customers in the digital health world like GE Healthcare, Medtronic, and Edwards Lifesciences. Healthcare became the company's exclusive focus and primary growth engine.
